Prog Archives The first full-length release on the Italian Amplexus imprint – an extremely limited-run “music and design” label/project – Alio Die’s Suspended Feathers is easily his most accomplished work to date. A flawless, organic blend of textured acoustical elements, deep, meditative drones, field recordings, and all methods of sampler microscopy, the album combines shifting, programmatic textural composing with more dimensional aspects which, in addition to their emotional depth, give Musso’s pieces a sense of space and movement. Quite simply some of the most enveloping, affecting “pure” ambient you’re ever likely to hear; a pity, given how hard the album is to track down.
